So the Calgary Airport Authority plans on building a new runway. For such a project there is much research and study being done, and much more still to do. The Authority is now prepared to share completed work with the public at three meetings in early September. According to a Calgary Sun article (page 5) from Monday August 30, 2010,
The public is invited to see plans, including an environmental assessment, for the airport’s new runway as construction on the project prepares for takeoff.
I am very interested in the environmental assessment conducted by AECOM, and plan to review it before attending the meeting(s). I encourage you to do the same. Be informed. Ask questions. Make sure the Authority is held to account.
The meetings are scheduled as follows:
September 7, 2010
September 9, 2010
1177-396152 Ave. NE
September 11, 2010
Cardel Place Gym
11950 Country Village Link NE
