Greenpeace is up to their old antics today in Calgary, breaking laws (trespassing) to get their message out. Activists got past security at the Calgary Tower, rappelled down the side, and unfurled a large banner which said “Separate Oil and State”.
While I generally agree that more thought needs to be applied to environmental problems, it’s stunts such as this (or this, or this) that leave a sour taste in my mouth. Surely there are better, more legitimate ways to get your message out that do not require (or encourage) law-breaking. Perhaps, but I doubt Greenpeace is aware of them.
